Description

Description

FNX-7900 is an untreated precipitated silica matting agent with medium particle size, offering high matting efficiency, good transparency, excellent surface smoothness, and low impact on coating viscosity.

Developed by a technical team with first-hand experience in the industrial production of internationally established silica matting agent grades, FNX-7900 builds on extensive manufacturing expertise with further process optimization and tighter control of key production parameters. The result is highly consistent product quality and performance, together with a competitive cost structure. FNX-7900 is positioned as a high-performance alternative to ACEMATT 790 for coil coatings and a wide range of industrial coating systems.

Recommended Applications

FNX-7900 is particularly well suited for:

  • General industrial coatings requiring efficient and uniform gloss reduction.

  • Coil coatings requiring low sheen and reliable processing performance.

  • Architectural coatings requiring good matting efficiency and surface appearance.

  • Wood coatings requiring a smooth, uniform matte finish.

  • Coil coatings requiring low sheen and reliable processing performance.

  • Polyurethane coatings requiring effective gloss control with good transparency.

  • Acrylic coatings requiring consistent matting performance.

Recommended Addition Level

1.5–7.0% based on the total formulation.

FNX-7900 may be incorporated directly into the coating system or added as a pre-dispersion. For optimum matting performance, addition during the high-speed dispersion stage is recommended.
