FNX-690 is a high-purity silica gel with an untreated surface. As a coarse-particle matting agent, it is especially effective for achieving strong matting efficiency in coating systems. With its larger particle size and high degree of whiteness, FNX-690 produces low-gloss surfaces while maintaining uniform appearance and reliable film properties.

FNX-690 is particularly well suited for:
Pigmented industrial coatings where strong, reliable matting power is required.
Wood coatings targeting pronounced low-gloss, natural finishes.
Plastic coatings that need effective gloss knockdown and consistent surface appearance.
General-purpose coatings requiring robust matte effects with stable application behavior.
