FSR-170 is a high-purity, hydrophobic fumed silica rheology control additive with a specific surface area of approximately 170 m²/g. Surface-treated with dimethyldichlorosilane (DDS), it is designed for use in moisture-sensitive and non-polar systems, delivering effective viscosity control, excellent anti-settling and anti-sagging performance, and improved formulation stability. Its hydrophobic surface chemistry enhances compatibility with organic binders, improves water resistance, and contributes to corrosion protection and long-term performance in demanding coating systems.

FSR-170 is particularly well suited for:
General industrial coatings requiring hydrophobic rheology control and improved anti-settling
Metal and corrosion-protective coatings for enhanced film stability and moisture resistance
Automotive OEM and refinish coatings demanding sag control and formulation consistency
Coil coatings requiring reliable viscosity control and storage stability
Plastic coatings needing good dispersion in non-polar systems
Adhesives and sealants for thixotropy control, bead stability, and anti-sag behavior
High-solids and solvent-borne systems where water sensitivity must be minimized
Powder coatings (select applications) to support flow behavior and storage stability
Ink and specialty coating formulations requiring controlled rheology and improved resistance to settling
